BioXplorer 400XL Expanded Benchtop, Parallel 8 Bioreactor Platform

The BioXplorer 400XL is a multi-bioreactor system designed by H.E.L, featuring eight 500 ml fermenters for  fast optimization of aerobic fermentation culture models. The parallel capabilities of the BioXplorer 400XL, combined with the customizable configuration of the fermenter headplate, enables real-time measurement of selected parameters. Combined with WinISO, the BioXplorer 400XL is able to respond to rapid changes during the fermentation, allowing for complete automatization of the culture model.

Key Highlights:

Enhanced Bioreactor System

The BioXplorer 400XL features eight fermenters, each optimized for aerobic fermentation with working volumes of 120–400 ml. Equipped with a wide variety of probes and sensors, and offering multiple gas and liquid feed configurations, the system's ability to precisely control and monitor up to eight cultures in parallel greatly accelerates screening, characterization and process optimization leading to better understanding future scale-up challenges.

Flexibility and Control

The BioXplorer 400XL combines larger working volumes with the replication and parallelization capabilities of eight independent fermenters controlled by WinISO. The software monitors analytical parameters of interest while maintaining stringent control to preserve ideal conditions within each fermenter. The flexibility of customizable liquid and gas pumps and agitation options makes it a powerful tool for the characterization and optimization of various fermentation models.
