BioXplorer 400 Benchtop, Parallel 4 Bioreactor Platform
The BioXplorer 400 is a multi-bioreactor system designed by H.E.L, equipped with 4 bioreactors with working volumes of up to 400 ml. The highly configurable nature of their lid expands the testing capability for fermentation cultures, allowing selection of sensors and probes to characterize critical parameters for the fermentation in real-time. Combined with H.E.L's WinISO, the BioXplorer 400 enables the full automatization of aerobic fermentation.
Key Highlights:
Parallel Bioreactors
The BioXplorer 400 features four bioreactors with working volumes from 120–400 ml, each optimized for aerobic fermentation. Supporting up to four parallel fermentation runs simultaneously, the system is well-suited for in-depth culture experimentation, screening, starter preparations and accelerated fermentation research.
Flexibility and Control
The wide range of probes available with the BioXplorer 400 enables monitoring of critical parameters for in-depth bioprocess characterization. WinISO allows fine control of critical fermentation parameters through automated feedback loops. The customizable configuration of the bioreactors allows for careful selection of parameters to track during fermentation. With a choice of agitation — either magnetic or overhead — the BioXplorer 400 enables a wider range of agitation range, allowing cultivation of shear sensitive cells, or higher agitation to optimize gases transfer rate and the oxygen demand for the living cell population; inducing better growth rates and increasing material secreted.

*The upper temperature limit for data acquisition from standard DO probes is 40°C. Contact your local API representative to discuss alternative DO probes for use at elevated temperatures. The lower temperature limit requires the integrated circulator option (chiller)
