Professional Profile
Bodo Kohring acquired substantial experience in automated analysis systems for the image-based and biochemical analysis of liquids such as supernatants of cell culture and microbial fermentation broths at ROCHE-innovatis AG and ALIT Biotech Co., Ltd. In collaboration with the Japanese partner FURUNO Electric Co., Ltd., he adapted the technology of random-access biochemistry analyzer models to the requirements of the biotechnology industry. Concurrently, he collaborated with Randox Laboratories, global market leaders in IVD, to develop assays tailored to the needs of the biotech industry. In accordance with the new PAT initiative of the FDA, Bodo Kohring developed innovative quality assurance procedures. He marketed products to leading biopharmaceutical manufacturers globally, including Roche Diagnostics, Novartis, Merck, Boehringer, Abbott, Novartis, Sanofi Aventis, BMS, Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, and Bayer Pharma.
An Established Network
Bodo Kohring established distribution partner networks in Europe, Asia, and America. He supported U.S.-based subsidiaries in the market launch of cell culture biochemistry analyzers (CuBiAn) and image-based Cedex and Countstar systems.
In partnership with German and U.S.-based marketing agencies, Bodo Kohring developed marketing strategies, campaigns, and materials. Given that the majority of his customers operate in cGMP-regulated environments, he is well-versed in the current guidelines of the FDA and EMA for biopharmaceutical production of human and veterinary drug products. Due to his keen perception and strategic and creative thinking, he was authorized to manage complex projects that encompassed the design of project plans and test series, the generation of user requirements (URS) and design specifications (DS) based on cGAMP guidelines, the development of acceptance test criteria (IQ, OQ, and PC), and SOPs. He developed market launch strategies, including market and competition analysis, strategic plans for product launches, marketing tools, and the design and execution of marketing events. Additionally, he was appointed as a representative for special tasks in public relations.
